The art room has been my home since I was a little girl. I am an artist and a daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend. I worked as an elementary art teacher for 23 years. I was born and grew up in Dallas Texas. Austin Texas was home from 1977-1986.I moved with my husband to Philadelphia in 1986 where my daughter was born .We moved back to Dallas Texas in 1993 .We have lived in the same house for 30 years .During the summers starting in 2013 we started renting a house in Fairfax Ca.In 2016 we built a home with a studio there . We now split our time between the two very different states.The drive between the California and Dallas provides a lot time for wandering thoughts and beautiful views. The stories in my art work come from these identities and experiences.
